How to Create a Group

BioExtract Server lets you share your analytic tools, data extracts and workflows with others by creating a new group or by inviting people to an existing group.

How do I create a new group?

  1. You'll first need to create a user account and sign in. At the top right corner of any BioExtract Server page, select register. Fill in the required fields and click Add User. Your account will be created immediately. Return to the BioExtract Server and sign in by clicking the sign in link at the top right corner of any page.
  2. Click the Groups tab.
  3. In the left panel, under Additional Actions, click Create Group. A new group form opens in the right panel.
  4. Click Edit to the right of the heading "A New Group." Enter a Name and Description for this new group, then click Save. A new group is created. You'll see your new group under Owned Groups in the left panel.
